One of our customers in India, the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), who uses Dr.Lavoisier, was operating this project:
Three New Species Discovered in the Upper Stratosphere17-03-09: 16:45
Three new species of bacteria, which are not found on Earth and which are highly resistant to ultra-violet radiation, have been discovered in the upper stratosphere by Indian scientists.
The experiment was conducted using a 26.7 million cubic feet balloon carrying a 459 kg scientific payload soaked in 38 kg of liquid Neon, which was flown from the National Balloon Facility in Hyderabad, operated by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR)
In all, 12 bacterial and six fungal colonies were detected, nine of which showed greater than 98% similarity with reported known species on earth. Three bacterial colonies were, however, totally new species. All the three newly identified species had significantly higher UV resistance compared to their nearest phylogenetic neighbours.
"While the present study does not conclusively establish the extra-terrestrial origin of the microorganisms", stated by ISRO, who calls the discoveries "an encouragement to continue the work in our quest to explore the origin of life."

New domicile
We moved in at our new domicile March 1. 2003.
It was designed by ourselves to meet our needs.
There are production facilities, office-area
development laboratories, lecture room and lecture hall,
as well as recreational facilities with indoor swimming pool.
Being close to nature we enjoy the sight of many different animals.
A red deer with calves is our favorite at the moment (Right pic.)

Dr.Sherlock Graph can supervise 10 temperature/digital inputs, independently. To obtain a quick survey, temperature trend curves for
each input can be shown in the graphical display.
The unique combination of a graphical display and turnable buttons makes Dr.Sherlock Graph easy to operate.

Storage temperature controller
Dr.Cropstore can be used within storage compartments for e.g. potatoes.
The built-in anti chill protection ensures that the crop will not get exposed to
frost.
Professor Partyline
Communication and presentation PC-software for Windows®
Professor Partyline for MSDOS - first version released May 1990 - has now been a major help for our customers
controlling climate at pig houses, controlling oxygen, pH and feeding at fish farms etc. for more than ten years.
Professor Partyline for MSDOS was tailormade for each customer and therefore expensive. When installation
was altered there was work to be done.
Now the much less expensive standard software is here:
Ending beta-tests at selected customers in the autumn of 2000 we now present the new Professor Partyline for
Windows®, now taking advantage of pop-up-windows, roll-down menues, mouse, printing facilities,
multitasking, more colors, screen solutions and so on - using the Windows®-platform.
We added some more features already treasured by our customers:
- automatic scan of the whole installation, listing all conected units, creating windows, and everything for
complete turn-key use.
- all registers in conected units can be verified against default values or user values making everyone able
- without any special knowledge - to keep installation free from faulty or bad settings. The feed-back from
our customers tells us there is a lot to gain from this feature !

OXYGEN-MONITORING

Dr.Gemini
CLIMATE CONTROLLER*2
Dr.Gemini is a new climate controller capable of controlling 2 rooms and is equipped with a
unique operators interface. A combination of two selector control knobs makes easy access
to all functions.
But the most exiting about Dr.Gemini is the innovative interface to dampers etc. Instead of
separate wires and 0-10V signals for each unit, all external units are connected using
local 2-wire network. This saves a lot of wiring thus making installation a lot easier and
cheaper. Furthermore, troubleshooting also becomes much easier.
Through the network, Dr.Gemini receives information about:
- Status from the damper controller including the actuator, motor power consumption
which can inform if the motor load is to high.
- Status from the fan controller including output level to the fan.

OXYGEN-MONITORING
- Ten galvanic isolated inputs for oxygen probes. 1 temperature sensor input.
- Alarm setting for high and low oxygen on each of the ten inputs.
- Data logging.
- Communication port for remote servicing by a PC, optionally through telephone using
Dr.Bell speech processor.
